I began my nursing career more than 16 years ago as a Labor and Delivery nurse in North Texas Hospitals. I absolutely loved helping mothers bring their babies into the world, and I found a special passion for assisting mothers and babies as they learned to breastfeed. Over the past 6 years, I have worked in a North Texas Hospital as a lactation consultant and childbirth educator, teaching classes in childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care for expectant parents.
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®), I bring the highest standard of evidence-based lactation support, and I bring many years of bedside experience to every visit. I know those first days at home with a newborn can feel overwhelming – the worry that you are doing it wrong, wondering if baby is eating enough, the questions that pop up that you didn't even know to ask. That's where I love to help. I'll come to you, listen without judgement, and show you that you are far more capable than you feel.
We will work as a team to help you and baby navigate the breastfeeding journey and overcome any challenges.
With me alongside you, you're never figuring it out alone!!

Lactation Support · Client Story
Working with Katie was one of the best decisions I made during my breastfeeding journey.
From the beginning, Katie met me exactly where I was. She was never pushy or judgmental—just genuinely supportive. She was always very responsive, extremely professional, and so easy to talk to, which made everything feel less overwhelming. She gave practical tips that actually worked, along with constant encouragement that helped me keep going.

Katie is amazing and I am so grateful for her help!
My baby was latching well, but he was sucking really hard and burst a blood vessel, so Katie tweaked his latch so that he was getting a good milk flow and I was comfortable! He breastfed beautifully after that! I had another baby a little over a year later, and she was so little she was having a hard time latching — and Katie, of course, was so helpful in helping her get a good rhythm going. We are still nursing today!! So grateful for her support!!

I couldn't recommend her enough!
As a first-time mom, navigating how to breastfeed my new baby was challenging, but Katie was a great help! She included both myself and my husband to figure out the best feeding plan that worked for us and still met my baby's needs. Katie brought a calm and encouraging attitude and approached our situation positively! She came with a plan and made sure we were confident before she left, and she has followed up to make sure we are still doing okay and has been there to answer any questions or concerns I have.
